In the Kafroun area, Tartous Governorate, Syria, a heavy spread of nymphs and adult insects were observed on faba bean and Shamra plants severe symptoms not observed earlier. Symptoms of infestation on various parts of the affected plants were documented, and samples were brought to the University of Homs for insect identification. The insect was identified as Dionconotus neglectus neglectus (Fabricius, 1798).
