The laboratory study was conducted at the Plant Protection Department, College of Agriculture, the University of Basra, Iraq, while the field experiment was carried out at the Agricultural Research Station of the same college during the year 2024. The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy of some plant -based insecticides in controlling nymphs and adults of the leafhopper Amrasca biguttula, one of the major pests affecting okra production in Iraq. The study investigated the effectiveness of botanical insecticides Oxymatrine, Palizin and Tondexir in comparison with the chemical insecticide “Acetomiprid”. The results obtained showed that nymphs mortality rates reached 80.99, 75.49, 61.70 and 55.90%, while those of adults were 77.99, 71.48, 4159 and 54.81% for the products Acetamiprid, Oxymatrine, Palizin and Tondexir, respectively. In the field experiment, the adult’s mortality rates were 78.69, 72.63, 58.23 and 52.02%, for the four products, respectively.
