First Record of the White Mango Scale Insect Aulacaspis tubercularis on Mango, Mangifera indica, in Syria

Abstract

The white mango scale, Aulacaspis tubercularis, Newstead (Hemiptera: Diaspididae) is recorded to infest mango trees in Syria for the first time. According to the adult females features, its appearance is probably associated with climate change and introduction of mango seedlings without phytosanitary control.
